KANGAR (Bernama): The Raja Muda of Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail has reminded all quarters to prevent leakage in the channeling of Covid-19 aid during the movement control order (MCO) to optimise the benefits for target groups.
"The aid provided will only be of benefit when it is handled honestly by those entrusted to manage the distribution.
"Apart from that, those who are entrusted (to manage the distribution) should also use their wisdom in discharging their responsibility so that no group is left behind," he said in a press statement issued by the Perlis Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPs) Wednesday (April 1).
Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra, who is MAIPS president, said he was grateful for the contributions by all quarters, both government agencies and non-governmental organisations (NGOs), as well as corporations, as they facilitated procedures to help those in need.
For the record, as of March 29, MAIPs has announced eight initiatives worth RM4.5 million to help the people who are adversely affected by the Covid-19-19 pandemic.
