Parents must be wary of job offers abroad - Raja Muda of Perlis

/ Berita Terkini MAIPs / Jumaat, 23 September 2022 08:36

KANGAR, Sept 22 (Bernama) -- The Raja of Muda Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail has called on parents and guardians to take precautionary measures if their children receive job offers from abroad.

“This is to prevent their children from becoming victims of overseas job scam syndicates, which target youths,” said Tuanku Syed Faizuddin, who is also Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) Chancellor, through a statement released by UniMAP today.

The Raja Muda said this when heading the UniMAP Student Representative Council Knowledge Tour delegation to Laos recently.

Of late, there has been an increase in the number of cases involving job fraud syndicates abroad, resulting in the Embassy or Consulate Office having to intervene to bring back Malaysians who had been deceived.

Tuanku Syed Faizuddin reminded those who have received job offers abroad to conduct a thorough review first.

“Ensure the job offer is transparent, not dubious and has no elements of fraud, in addition to making sure the job offer given is logical in terms of salary and allowances, including other aspects of welfare,” the Raja Muda said.

According to the statement, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin, who is also the Perlis Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPs) president, had earlier presented the MAIPs zakat distribution contribution of RM1,000 to the Mirasuddeen Mosque located at Soi 20 Silom Road, Bangkok, Thailand.

The Raja Muda, who led the delegation to Laos, went to the mosque to perform the zohor and asar prayers when he stopped by Thailand before returning home.
